Our aim is to produce animals with these 3 characteristics

– Milk – this is by far one of the top genetic traits we are breeding for. It doesn't matter how pretty the cow is, if she doesn't have the milk to raise a calf that is competitive with the other breeds at the auction barn then she is not what we keep.

– Feet and overall correctness – A cow or bull needs to have a good frame under them in order to support growth and the ability for longevity. We want our animals to be able to perform in all different areas of the world. To do that they need a good foundation!

– Temperament – It is really interesting to see how much genetics plays into the temperament of an animal. We do not raise our animals to be pets necessarily but we do want to have an animal that you are able to handle with proper cattle equipment efficiently and somewhat safely. Because we have a smaller herd we are able to see each animal's personalities and how they are with their calves, how they are to work with and other attributes that we would like to replicate.
